Mountain Creek Moriesian & Morgan Horses.
Mountain Creek Moriesians is our piece of paradise in the Upper Kiewa Valley of North East Victoria, Australia. Our resident Stallions are Red Bluff Mesmeric (Taproot Messenger (Imp) X Mt Tawonga Miss Mary) our Pure Bred Morgan Stallion, born September 2004, & Eitsje (Remmelt (USA) X Ulrika (Imp)) our Pure bred Friesian Stallion, born 2001. Both stallions have been tested and qualify for collection and transport of chilled semen.
Our mares include Friesian (pure and partbred), Morgan (pure and partbred), & one Quarter Horse. We aim to produce strong, athletic, talented, and well-mannered horses, with a good foundation, suited to a wide range of disciplines. We will be mainly concentrating on breeding our signature horse the Moriesian, as well as some 4th and 5th cross Friesian Warmbloods. We will also have available from time to time Pure Bred Friesian, and Pure & Partbred Morgan progeny. We proudly offer for sale, weanlings, yearlings and the some 2 yo's, that are ready for their new owners.
Our horses go thru our basic education programme. This includes tying up, leading, feet handling, hosing down, float loading and travel, independancy, they will be accustomed to rugging - stockwhip - tarps - machinery (tractors and motorbikes), have good social skills, and they are also introduced to hard feed prior to departure. We raise our ponies on grass and hay. Their drenching will be up to date, as well as tet/strangles, males will be gelded, unless you specify a colt, horses will also be microchipped. We also have some frozen semen from 2 American Pure Bred Morgan Stallions, PT Cruiser & Ragtime Oro Blanco. We will be using the semen in future with our Pure Bred Mares, Mountain Crk Crown Jewel, Mountain Crk Morgana Beau, Mountain Crk Roxanne & Mt Tawonga Monique.
