Nanneke van Berkley (2004). Nanning 374 x Meinoedske D.V. Nanneke arrived here in Victoria in August 2008, she was born in Deloraine Tasmania, on the Berkley farm.
We plan to join Nanneke and Eitsje this breeding season, and hope to use her with Chilled semen from Permited Stallions, as well as Frozen semen from Licenced Stallions in the future. She is our first Pure bred Friesian mare and has settled well here on our farm.
Nanneke has been presented at the 2009 Dutch Keuring, she has been promoted to the Studbook. Unfortunately she had a minor paddock accident prior to the event, we tried chiropractic work to help her, but she wasn't 100% on the day. Oh well, perhaps next time...... She was officially measured by the Dutch judges @ 160cm.
Nanneke's first foal Ietsje from MCM was born November 2010, we are very happy with this colt, and have named him in honour of his sire, Eitsje.
